It’s their best start ever in the Premier League with maximum points of 15 from 5 matches. Wayne Rooney has scored in every league game and should have added two more to this seasons tally after his first half goal in the 3-1 win over Chelsea. Rooney missed a penalty in strange fashion when he slipped over, but he is still the best!

He chose, wisely, not to comment on the referee Mike Jones’ decision to send off two Liverpool players Charlie Adam and Martin Skrtel. Having studied all four yellow cards I thought the referee was correct.

It was not a conspiracy or bad judgement as Spurs were always the better side at White Hart Lane sendings off or not.
